Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on December 18 held a talk with Dinh The Huynh, the chair of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Theory Council, at the JCP head office in Tokyo.
The delegation of the CPV headed by Huynh was visiting Japan for a theoretical exchange meeting with the JCP, which ended the previous day.
Huynh said that Shii's visit to Vietnam in September this year increased the ties between the two parties to new heights and conveyed to Shii a friendly message from CPV General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
Referring to the fifth theoretical exchange meeting held over the past two days, Huynh said, "It is very helpful for us to learn from the JCP's experiences and research achievements, and the ways in which the party has struggled independently and creatively in such a highly-developed country."
Shii replied, "I believe that the two-day session bore much fruit by giving us the opportunity to exchange views on various issues, including challenges to face during a transition period from capitalism to socialism."
In conclusion, both parties agreed to continue theoretical exchanges.
